This project involved three areas of the clients’ house: the kitchen, the laundry/mud room, and the stairs to the home’s second floor. They were looking to improve upon work done by the previous home owner. Their vision for the kitchen was to keep their primary kitchen cabinet perimeter, while updating some of the appliances and countertops. Additionally, they wanted a new, larger custom kitchen island with more seating to be a feature of the space. The adjacent laundry and mudroom were outdated, failing to meet their needs.
Our renovation involved a complete overhaul and re-design to meet their vision. This included re-using old doors to maintain the traditional feel of the house, while building custom closets and pantry storage to meet the homeowners’ needs. Other features met the custom needs of the clients: a dog crate, a sink, a new combination washer and dryer, and new tile flooring.
A concern among those undertaking a home remodel is maintaining functionality of their home during the renovation. Evergreen answered this concern by setting up a temporary laundry station in the basement to minimize inconvenience during the laundry room renovation.
Characteristic of Evergreen, this design and renovation answered the needs of our clients.
