This project involved intensive planning in the design phase, weighing two major pathways: an addition versus a first floor layout remodel which would ultimately expand their kitchen. After meeting with designers and engineers, they decided on the latter, keeping the existing footprint and altering the layout. The remodel sought several goals: a larger kitchen and dining space for entertaining, a large island to be used as their primary kitchen dining space, two dishwashers, a walk-in pantry, and the addition of a wet bar.

We worked closely with their interior designer to make their vision a reality, through structural changes including the removal of a wall to open these spaces. Flipping the location of their existing kitchen and dining room expanded the functionality and usable space for each area. The altered layout also added room for a walk-in pantry.

We ensured functionality, while maintaining the kitchen’s natural sunlight. Raising the height of the window maintained natural light while allowing for the installation of perimeter kitchen cabinets, thus maximizing the space’s beauty and function.

Their vision, combined with our design and execution produced remarkable spaces that are uniquely theirs.

“We had major renovations done where we relocated our kitchen to a different part of the house. We therefore needed plumbing changes, different windows, new electrical, new walls, new flooring. Evergreen - Pete and Josh - kept us informed every step of the way on the project and were easily accessible and responsive with any concerns that we had. Evergreens staff were very approachable and professional, as well as their electrical and plumbing partners. They coordinated with our appliance company on delivery and installation. I highly recommend Evergreen and we plan on using Evergreen again for future projects.”

Testimonials

“Highly recommended! After dealing with a few contractors not showing up or not returning calls at all, I reached out to Evergreen. They were professional, responsive, and great communicators. Not your typical contractor! Just good people to work with. And, fairly priced as well. Call them first."

FAQs

How much does a kitchen or bathroom remodel cost?

Costs vary widely due to a multitude of variables, including but not limited to appliances, finishes, and amenities. A mid-range kitchen remodel typically costs $25,000–$60,000, while a bathroom remodel may range from $10,000–$30,000.

How long will the remodel take?

Kitchen: Usually 6–12 weeks
Bathroom: Typically 3–6 weeks

Timelines depend on design complexity, material availability, and any structural or plumbing changes. The full project timeline will be discussed during the design phase to limit as many disturbances to your house as possible.

Do I need to move out during the remodel?

Rarely. Most homeowners stay at home during the remodel. We work with our customers to minimize downtime with your kitchen during the project and look to find temporary solutions to maintain some functionality during remodeling.

What are the most popular features right now?

Kitchens: Quartz countertops, large islands, open shelving, contrasting cabinet finishes, and walk in pantries.
Bathrooms: large custom tile showers, freestanding tubs, heated floors, and saunas.

What’s the return on investment (ROI) for kitchen or bath remodeling?

Kitchen remodels can return 60–80% of the cost to the value of the home, and bathroom remodels can return 50–70% of the cost. These are top value-adding projects for resale.
